The Schmied AG Group

Established in 1955 as a sole trader in paintings by Franz Schmied, the company has developed to one of Austria’s biggest corporate groups in the paintings sector. With more than 350 employees we are flexible to carry out orders in a range from the one-room apartment to the million euro construction site.
We offer interior and exterior painting and decorating, wood and metal coatings, facade refurbishment, external thermal insulation, fire protection coatings, floor coverings and coatings.
In addition to that we enlarge our service offer with products according to signmaking like signage, commercial printing, vehicle lettering and adhesive coatings.

With all our services we want to satisfy your needs in the first place. Quality, innovation, flexibility and performance are the central points in our business activities. We constantly work with the certificate for ISO 9001:2008 to improve and hold our high quality standards.

Training and further education of our employees are the most important points in our company’s philosophy. We employ about 50 trainees for jobs like painting and coating technican, floorer and signmaker. Every year 15 to 20 trainees finish the three years lasting apprenticeship with the final exam. The qualification of the craftsmen is constantly enhanced with training in new application technology or materials in cooperation with our suppliers.
